Union Leaders Take Steps to Pursue Positive Solutions Following Tentative Agreement Ballot Results
by Matt O'Connor on June 27thFollowing the conclusion of voting on the SEBAC 2011 tentative agreement (TA), leaders of the coalition’s 15 unions convened today to review results and to determine the next course of action.
The leaders of the unions in the State Employees Bargaining Agent Coalition (SEBAC) reported on the balloting that took place over the last two weeks. Official results showed that 57% of participating members voted in favor of the TA. Broken down further, the majority vote for 26 of the coalition’s 34 bargaining units was to approve the agreement. Coalition leaders also confirmed that 11 of the 15 SEBAC voting unions supported the TA. (more…)
