Connecticut Governor Signs Into Law A State Worker Telecommuting Bill

Connecticut’s Gov. Jodi Rell has signed into law a telecommuting bill covering state employees. CSEA/SEIU Local 2001 says the law will strengthen a telecommuting program that will save taxpayer money and help relieve traffic congestion. The union says Connecticut has lagged behind other states in adopting effective telecommuting policies. The new law lets state agency heads work with union members in developing options to increase telecommuting in the state workforce.
