State employee unions to meet with Rell administration on ways to address Conn. budget woes
On Thursday January 28, 2010, 11:45 am EST
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Leaders of the state employee unions in Connecticut are planning to meet Gov. M. Jodi Rell’s administration to discuss ways to address the state’s $500 million budget deficit.
A closed-door meeting is planned at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
But union leaders don’t plan to discuss additional labor concessions, such as more furlough days or pay freezes. Larry Dorman, a spokesman for the coalition of unions, says workers have “already stepped up to the table” and given more than $700 million over two years.
Instead, the unions are expected to discuss ideas such as adding municipalities, small businesses and others to the state’s health care system. Also, they’re expected to talk about delaying $100 million in payments to the state employees pension fund.

I need a answer. Does this mean the Ct. State Retirees will see less money in their paycheck each month if State Government delays $100 million in payments to the state employees pension fund.
